The communication revolution and education in schools

Abstract

The introduction of new technologies raises questions not only of what is taught, but also of how it is taught. Uses case studies drawn from one particular institution, and examines how teaching multi‐media literacy ‐ the full range of skills for the information society student ‐ should underlie developments. Combines this with practical uses of existing technology, to link into the more innovative European Union and Open University experiments being carried out at Monkseaton Community High School.
