Abstract

Provides an introduction to the papers of the LOEX‐of‐the‐West which concentrated on the theme of collaboration and partnership within the academic library to improve student learning. Looks at the development of information literacy and how academic libraries can use this to expand the field of student learning. Concludes that information technology has changed the face of teaching and learning, offering the opportunity to find and collaborate with new partners.
