Effective employment screening practices
Abstract
Contends that an employer must reduce his risk, and that therefore choosing the right employee is important for this. An effective employee screening practice helps employers to make the right hiring decisions, benefitting both employer and employee alike. Lists out the employer’s seven deadly hiring mistakes in full. Looks also at negligent hiring and retention. Discusses pre‐employment screening, listing out what to look for in an employee’s resumé, and also discusses post‐employment screening, which keeps employers aware of employees’ changing attitudes, etc., thereby avoiding possible pitfalls.
