Abstract

Discusses employment discrimination in the USA, outlining protected categories of people and the redress available to them in cases where discrimination can be proved. Explores affirmative action with regard to race/colour discrimination. Focuses on how to pursue a claim of employment discrimination in the USA, explaining the processes involved in lawsuits and settlements. Observes that the number of employment discrimination cases are escalating and warns that society must move towards ensuring equality of opportunity for all.
