Laying the groundwork: using relational databases for serials review decisions
Abstract
Explains how an academic library gathered data for and then used relational databases of faculty information and journals data to make purchasing decisions and how it plans to build on these databases for future serials reviews. Describes the survey process and lists database fields and criteria used in making purchasing decisions.
