A MANAGEMENT COURSE FOR WOMEN TEACHERS
Abstract
Describes the experience of setting up an award‐bearing course for women teachers that was specifically intended to further an LEA policy on equal opportunities in employment by increasing the number of women in senior posts. It is described from the perspective of the LEA adviser involved and that of a participant on the course. Successful career moves were made by many of the participants, and specific features of the course which contributed to this are recommended to those who wish to set up similar initiatives.
