Cabling in intelligent buildings

Abstract

Discusses the importance of cabling strategies for intelligent buildings, summarizing the three main elements of cabling systems: the wiring system, the distribution system and the management information system. States that cabling systems are a key issue in the design of intelligent buildings and that traditional building teams are ill‐equipped to deal with cabling issues, often needing specialist help.
