Aylesbury Automation, one of the UK's leading fastener and automation systems manufacturers, has been acquired by Textron Fastening Systems (TFS), a subsidiary of US-based Textron Inc.

Formerly owned by Roxpur plc, Aylesbury Automation has a long and distinguished history in supplying automation assembly products and fastener systems to international companies.

Accredited to ISO 9001 and a member of the British Quality Foundation, Aylesbury Automation has built an enviable reputation for quality, innovation and customer service.

Managing director Peter Kemsley views the move as offering many advantages to both Aylesbury Automation and its clients.

"Becoming part of TFS provides new market opportunities for our specialist products", said Peter Kemsley. "These include Fastriv, the proprietary self-pierce riveting system, our purpose-designed range of parts handling and feeding systems and specialist cold-forged components, he said. "Our existing customers can be assured of a continued high level of service and the benefits of being part of a dedicated group of fastener companies", concluded Peter Kemsley.

Textron Fastening Systems has annualised revenues of $2.3 billion with operations in 16 countries and are part of Textron Inc., a $10 billion global multi-industry company.
