Galvanizers Association has published a completely revised and updated version of its flagship document The Engineers and Architects' Guide to Hot Dip Galvanizing. Its 36 pages contain a huge amount of recent and essential information about this long-lasting method of corrosion protection.

The Guide, which is designed for architects, engineers, specifiers and anyone else with an interest in the corrosion protection of steel, now includes the latest galvanizing standards and a revised section on the painting of galvanized steel. Other sections include:

  • recent information on the physical and corrosion performance of hot dip galvanizing;

  • costs and economics;

  • how to specify hot dip galvanizing; and

  • how to design for and how to join galvanized steel.

A four-page sister publication The Engineers and Architects' Guide to Hot Dip Galvanized Nuts and Bolts, which has more detailed information on galvanized fasteners, has also been published.

Copies of both The Engineers and Architects' Guide to Hot Dip Galvanizing and The Engineers and Architects' Guide to Hot Dip Galvanized Nuts and Bolts are available, free of charge within the UK and Ireland, from: Galvanizers Association, Wrens Court, 56 Victoria Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands B72 1SY.
