H. Marcel Guest of Manchester has announced yet another senior sales appointment, this time aimed at increasing its market penetrationof the UK rail industry. Key account manager, Peter Slater, will service HMG's current rail-related customers and develop new business opportunities in a sector which the company has identified as an important growth market for its high performance coatings (Plate 3).

Qualified in coachpainting and industrial finishing, Peter Slater brings extensive technical and sales know-how to his new role, having amassed some 35 years' relevant industry experience. He was previously a sales and marketing executive with rail fleet owner and refurbisher, Marcroft Engineering, and prior to that a paintshop manager with Procor UK Limited.
