W L Gore & Associates (UK) Ltd (Tel: +44 (0)1506 460607) have announced the appointment of APS (UK) Ltd as UK licensee of its Fluoroshield coating systems for industrial process equipment.
In France, APS SA a member of the Fluoroshield applicator global network has been established for over 30 years as the leading supplier of technical coatings and the company has used this strong position to extend its operations into the UK.
APS (UK) Ltd has purchased the custom-built coatings facility in Dundee originally owned by Gore and has appointed two former Gore Fluoroshield coatings associates as managing and technical directors. In 1986, Gore made a substantial investment in both plant and personnel in order to develop the technology and introduce it to process industries worldwide. Now APS (UK) will capitalise on this original investment by establishing itself as a supplier of Fluoroshield coatings and other process vessel lining technologies to the UK market.
