Winn & Coales (Denso) Ltd has announced the launch of a new series of surface tolerant systems for the long-term protection of above ground steel structures and pipework.
Known as Denso Steelcoat, these systems have been designed to offer customers a range for project-by-project selection. Choices include: service life, degree of mechanical protection, extent of surface preparation and final appearance. Hot steel surfaces are believed not to be a problem either, with operating temperatures up to 150#176;C dealt with effectively.
The systems are a combination of heavy duty surface-tolerant liquid coatings and tape wraps, all of which claim extensive track records in highly corrosive environments. They are said to be easy to apply, suitable for application in many difficult or confined areas and ideal for steel surfaces which cannot be abrasive blast cleaned.
Winn & Coales consider that after an extensive research and development programme it has become evident that these new systems will enable Denso to offer proven cost effective solutions for most above ground corrosion prevention problems.
