More Caster-designed Q-Max magnetic drive pumps (Plate 4) are now available at competitive prices from Cleghorn Waring in the UK.

Q-Max centrifugals are now offered in PP, PVDF and 316 stainless steel for flow rates up to 30cu.m per hour and heads up to 30m. Threaded port connections are standard, and most models in the expanded Q-Max range can be fitted with flanged ports on request.

Driven by electric motors up to 3kW for operation in safe or hazardous zones, Q-Max pumps are said to provide safe, leak-free liquid handling at high hydraulic efficiencies. Whether pumping aggressive chemicals in such industries as electroplating or solvent reclamation, or meeting CIP needs in food or bio-tech manufacture, the emphasis is stated to be on low initial and lifetime costs.
