Urecoats and Reilly announce introduction of new advanced pipeline coating – Reillycoat™ pipeline coating products to offer advanced corrosion protection for water, gas and oil pipelines

Urecoats Industries Inc. ("Urecoats") (Amex: URT) announced at the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) 2003 conference in San Diego that it has completed the initial testing of its new Reillycoat™ pipeline coating product line. In partnership with privately held Reilly Industries, Inc. ("Reilly"), Urecoats will introduce it immediately to the pipeline corrosion protection market. Reilly, a privately held company, is widely recognized as a worldwide leader in the manufacturing and distribution of coatings and chemicals to the pipeline industry.
"We partnered with Urecoats because of our belief that they were on the cutting edge, technologically," said Brett Wilhelm, Global Business Director, Reilly Pipeline Coatings Group. "We knew that Urecoats could develop a pipeline coating product line that would flourish in today's pipeline market. This product line is now complete and the market doors are wide open. Obviously, we are thrilled with this launch."
Among the many features, Reillycoat™ pipeline coating products are hydrophobic, seamless and impact resistant. Its economical benefits and excellent adhesion characteristics make it an appealing choice for the pipeline coating industry. The line of Reillycoat™ pipeline coating products will include variations for different types of steel pipe usage, diameter and surroundings.
"Since our initial conversations with Reilly Industries at the NACE last year, we continue to be excited about our strategic partnership and participation in the pipeline coating industry," said Timothy M. Due to the nature of this industry, we do not expect to recognize revenue from this product line until late 2003 or early 2004."
In October 2002, Urecoats announced that it had signed an exclusive 5 years market preparation and distribution agreement with Reilly Industries, Inc. As of NACE 2003, initial testing by Urecoats and Reilly laboratories, as well as third party external testing, was completed ahead of schedule by over 6 months and the results are on target for the needs of the product line.
