New plant for Brush Engineered Bronzes

New plant for Brush Engineered Bronzes

Brush Wellman's new melting and continuous casting plant for aluminium bronzes, nickel aluminium bronzes, spinodal and high copper alloys has come on stream in Lorain, Ohio, USA. Its start up will allow Brush Wellman Limited of Theale near Reading in the UK to introduce a new range of Brush Engineered Bronzes.

The 55,000 square feet facility represents an approximate £8 million investment by Brush Wellman and it will produce the Brush Engineered Bronze range in rod, bar, tube and customised forms. During 1998 the plant will receive full ISO 9002 quality standard approvals.
