Welcom elevated to certified partner status

Welcom, a company in project and cost management software and services, recently announced its new status as an Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) Certified Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork. The company’s rapid advancement to Certified Partner since joining the Oracle PartnerNetwork this year is due to a key development effort targeted at the Aerospace and Defence industry.

Welcom is developing a new interface to allow Oracle Projects customers to share cost and project schedule information from Welcom’s Cobra cost management system and Open Plan project management software throughout the enterprise. The interface will also provide Oracle customers with earned value reporting to meet the rigorous standards required by the US Department of Defence. The combination of the three applications will provide more accurate, visible, and consistent project information and cost control throughout the organisation.

“Welcom’s integration work with Oracle Projects will provide aerospace and defence companies with enterprise-class tools to comply with the US government mandate to track earned value against schedules and costs, while delivering better information to manage projects and control costs,” says Greg, Irwin, vice president, Aerospace and Defense of Product Industries at Oracle. “Welcom’s new status as a Certified Partner acknowledges the importance of this work to Oracle customers, and it is well deserved.”
