It is believed that the acquisition will establish Maher as Europe’s premier stockist and distributor of a wider range of nickel and copper based alloys. The move will enable customers in many sectors including aerospace and defence, to deal with one supplier across a broader product range, making the alloy purchasing process simpler and quicker.

Maher Ltd, which was formed in 1932, employs 50 people at its UK headquarters located in Sheffield and has just had an all-time record year. It specialises in high performance metals from raw material to finished parts, which perform well in hostile, highly corrosive environments. With ISO 9002 and Civil Aviation Authority approval, Maher is a global operator, supplying to customers in the Far East, USA, Australia and across Europe.
