MMRC-ERA

15-17 September 2006

Kaunas, Lithuania

Thinking about tomorrow and global approach to European research area (ERA) we should call for action to resolve the shortcomings and rigidities of research careers that leads excellent human resources to move out of research or out of Europe. The conference seeks to contribute to the visibility of Europe’s and in particular Central and Eastern countries management research and to create the space for sharing of management research results as well as discussing over main challenges for developing new generation of management researchers.

The aim of the International conference for young researchers is to activate management research and to share the experience on management research in Central and Eastern countries and Europe. The main objectives of the conference are:

  • identifying the bottlenecks in management research in Europe and especially in Central and Eastern countries;

  • identifying the challenges in developing new generation of management researchers;

  • sharing interdisciplinary, cross-cultural and other management research results;

  • discussing over applied vs fundamental and Eastern vs Western traditions in management research; and
