Ready for anything (multifunction devices)
C. Harris, P. Monckton, L. Grayson, K. Johnson and M. Moore in PC Magazine (UK), Nov. 1998 Vol. 7 No. 11: p. 206 (17 pages)
Examines five multifunction devices (MFDs), which within a single hardware unit provide colour printing, scanning, photocopying and fax facilities. Comments on the inevitable compromise that each machine makes to provide an all-round capability. States that none of the reviewed machines provided networking capability. Sets out a comparative listing of the respective features of each machine. Considers separately three further monochrome laser MFDs, which provide a higher quality output.
