Alberto Carneiro is Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences, Arts and Information Technology at the University Lusófona of Humanities and Technologies, Lisbon. He is the author of textbooks such as Auditing Information Systems (2004, 2nd ed.), Introduction to Information Systems Security (2002) and Innovation – Strategy and Competitiveness (1995). Moreover, he has written and presented more than 25 articles and communications in international and national conferences and workshops. He is a member of the Portuguese Association of Marketing and the Portuguese Association for Higher Education. His professional activities also include executive training programs. Carol Matheson Connell

Carol Matheson Connell is Assistant Professor, Business & Management, Department of Economics, City University of New York – Brooklyn College. She holds an MBA from Columbia University Business School and a PhD in strategic management from the University of Glasgow.

Rocky J. Dwyer

Rocky J. Dwyer is a Principal with the Chief Review Services, Department of National Defence, Canada. In addition, he is a MBA faculty member with the Centre of Innovative Management at Athabasca University (Alberta, Canada) and an Adjunct Professor with the School of Philosophy at St Paul University, Ottawa (Ontario, Canada). He has been associated with numerous other private and public sector organizations in examining, validating and consultant capacities in Canada, theUSA, South America, and the Russian Federation. Jonathan Groucutt

Jonathan Groucutt is Principal Lecturer and Head of Department, Department of Business & Strategy at the Business School, Oxford Brookes University, England. As well as being a writer and academic, Jonathan has considerable business experience including over ten years in consultancy. He has authored and co-authored books on marketing, e-business, ethics and communication. In addition, he has written over 40 business articles. His areas of personal research include complexity theory and its relationship to business, the history of marketing thought and the strategic development of the global cruise ship industry. Ron Jonash

Ron Jonash is the founder and Head of Innovation Management, Inc., a Monitor Group Company. Previously, he was Managing Director of the Technology and Innovation Management practice for Arthur D. Little worldwide, and grew it to more than $50 million. Ron has nearly 30 years’ consulting experience, specializing in driving growth through innovation and managing strategic assets and technologies across marketing and R&D from concept to customer to create and capture maximum company value. Ron’s work has focused on helping clients make innovation real and capture the substantial financial and strategic premiums from improved innovation performance and leadership.

Holger Koehler

Holger Koehler is a Senior Member of the IMI leadership team in Cambridge, MA, USA. He has over ten years of consulting experience leading growth strategy, new business-building, innovation and technology strategy related assignments with clients in the automotive, industrial, telecommunications, oil & gas, health care and financial services industries. Prior to Monitor, Holger was a manager in the Technology and Innovation Management practice of Arthur D. Little, and a consultant with Bain & Company in Munich, Germany.

Iason Onassis

Iason Onassis is a Senior Member of Innovation Management Inc., a Monitor Group company. He was previously a partner at Arthur D. Little, where he worked in the Technology and Innovation Management practice. Prior to his consulting career he worked for several years at Fokker Aircraft. He has worked with large companies in various fields, such as consumer electronics, telecommunications, defense industries, resources, and service companies. He has coached boards and management teams in dealing with innovation in global organizations, aligning technology roadmaps with product strategies and plans, addressing issues around central and decentral R&D, and reviewing technology strategies and technology in- and outsourcing strategies, among other topics.

Vassilis Papadakis

Vassilis Papadakis is an Associate Professor at the AUEB. With a PhD from London Business School, his teaching/research interests are related to strategic decision making, change management, mergers and acquisitions and strategic alliances. He has published articles in Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, British Journal of Management, European Management Journal, Business Strategy Review, Technology Analysis and Strategic Management, Management Decision and others. Vassilis has cooperated as trainer and/or consultant with various companies, including Vodafone, Alpha Bank, Abbott Laboratories, and SAP. He can be reached at vpap@aueb.gr

Richard J. Pech

Richard J. Pech is Director of Research at La Trobe University’s Graduate School of Management in Melbourne, Australia. He is also Managing Director of the Spandrel Group, a consulting firm specializing in organizational growth and business health. He is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Business Strategy Series and regularly contributes to a wide variety of international journals, mostly focusing on decision-making issues. Phil Wickham

Phil Wickham is a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Centre for Decision Research at the University of Leeds. He specializes in the economic psychology of decision under risk, with a particular interest in its application in the context of entrepreneurship.
