The rapid development of China’s economy is driving Chinese financial economists and academic scholars to have more academic exchange and cooperation with the world academic community. The current English-refereed finance journals in the USA or Europe could not publish too many interesting academic papers on China’s financial issues. In addition, a lot of articles written by foreign scholars and overseas Chinese scholars exist many severe misunderstanding of China’s true situation. Sometimes, outside scholars can understand China superficially. Therefore, the world needs an international academic-refereed journal that publishes high-quality articles written by “local Chinese scholars and overseas scholars”. This journal can serve two very important purposes. First, many outstanding Mainland young financial scholars have an international publication outlet to publish their good papers to exchange with international scholars. Second, the world financial economists and scholars have a channel to publish their articles and share their views with China’s policy makers, scholars and industry leaders.

The journal aims to keep readers abreast of the latest theoretical, empirical, or policy-related articles on China’s financial economic issues written from every perspective, in all areas of finance, such as banking intermediaries, corporate finance, the capital market, financial engineering, financial institute management, risk management and other macro-financial areas, as well as in-depth studies on emerging markets and transitional economic and financial systems and regulations, as well as promoting international communications and exchanges of financial studies. The journal follows the principle of being academic, neutral and fair.
