NanoVia, LP a company specializing in the manufacture of purpose built high speed microvia drilling systems, has announced the release of the NV3950 Laser Microvia Drilling System. The NV3950 incorporates standard industry sub-systems coupled with a (patent pending) beam multiplexing optical design that drills microvias very efficiently. The NV3950 system is an adaptive tool, capable of drilling via diameters below 20 microns. The system is available with either an Avia UV Diode Pumped YAG or Coherent CO2 Diamond lasers. The NV3950 has material handling options for high speed drilling of Web, TAB, wafer and panel formatted Chip Scale Packages, MicroBGA, and other high density products. NanoVia will be showing a full system at the IPC Printed Circuit Expo, booth #1753.
