Edward Kudrak appointed Materials Laboratory Manager, Enthone Inc.

Mr Edward Kudrak has been appointed Materials Laboratory Manager by Enthone Inc. Mr Kudrak is responsible for managing the development, evaluation and technical service of precious and base metal electroplating processes conducted at Enthone's surface analysis and materials property laboratory (SAMPL) in Jersey City, New Jersey (Plate 3).

Prior to joining Enthone, Mr Kudrak was the Director, Technology and Technical Service for the former electroplating chemicals and services (EC&S) division of Lucent Technologies, Staten Island, NY. Mr Kudrak has over 20 years experience in the development and implementation of electroplating processes, particularly in the electronics industry. His past positions have included that of manufacturing engineer for a printed wiring board manufacturer and a senior process engineer with OMI / Sel-Rex, which was merged with Enthone Inc. in 1988.

Mr Kudrak is a well-recognized author and speaker, having published extensively on precious and base metal electroplating processes for a diversity of electronics industry and surface finishing publications, workshops, and trade show conferences. His publications in these areas have resulted in numerous awards over the last decade, including a "Gold Medal", three "Silver Medals" and an "Excellence in Presentation," award for Best Publication from the American electroplaters and surface finishers society (AESF). He also was awarded two Best of Session awards from the International Institute of Connection and Interconnection Technology (IICIT). Additionally, Mr Kudrak is a co-author of various patents and multiple publications involving diverse aspects of electrodeposition. He earned a BS in chemical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
