Abstract

Part I of this article examined the psychological theories of learning and their applications to training. The conclusion reached was that learning and its theories were irrelevant to the training process and an attempt was made to outline an alternative framework based on the interaction between trainer and trainee rather than on the “inner” processes of learning. In this part I intend to explore the changing nature of this social interaction as skilled behaviour develops in the trainee.
