Abstract

Doing a job a second time is much easier than breaking new ground! The establishment of a course oriented towards the distributive trades at Philip Morant school, Colchester has been made comparitively easy by our previous experience in setting up the IP 49 EITB course two years ago. We have also been greatly assisted by Mr. R. Saunders, Careers Information Officer of DITB, whose experience in helping other schools has been invaluable. In those cases, sixth form courses were involved, but their basic philosophy was similar to our own. He made available to us loans of material produced by the DITB and this we are adapting for our own use. We are also most grateful to a small group of representatives from local and national firms whose involvement from the start has given us much encouragement.
