Flexible mechanical assembly systems

Abstract

Frank Riley, vice president of the Bodine Corporation, USA, made a fighting speech in defence of his company's philosophy of flexible modular assembly at the conference ‘Manufacturing Matters’ organised by the Institution of Production Engineers during the PEP 82 exhibition. This article is based on part of Mr. Riley's paper.
