Current hardware configurations in assembly automation
Abstract
One important but frequently‐ignored feature of assembly automation is that hardware continues to evolve, and consequently, detailed system designs are liable to rapid change. This in turn underlines the need to optimise each component of a system during the design phase to ensure that innovative components which are capable of simplifying and cheapening the cost of system implementation are used early on.
