Bank finance for property developers

Abstract

Introduction My own bank, in common with several others in the UK, is becoming increasingly involved in the provision of interim finance to developers for the acquisition of land and subsequent construction of commercial and industrial property. The purpose of this paper is to review generally the nature of the banks' involvement, their conception of the risks involved and their lending criteria.
