Abstract

THE PAINT CHEMIST can get some idea of the long‐term performance of materials from accelerated techniques such as the weatherometer, salt‐spray and SO2 tests. However, the actual performance of a coating on site over a long period is the most convincing way of finding out how it will perform in a particular environment.
