Modern Working Times Recent Developments in Germany: More Stress and Less Rewards for Women
Abstract
During the last decade, the issue of women's paid work has attracted considerable attention in West Germany. The New Women's Movement has contributed decisively in clarifying the concepts and methods of analysis. Thus much effort has been devoted to identifying housework as work of women and elaborating the reasons for its social devaluation and the consequences for women.
