Abstract

This report is a culmination of two and a half years of research, consultation and intensive deliberation over a mountain of evidence received by the Committee. It is a landmark document covering a wide range of issues affecting women in Australia. More than 2000 women and men have had a direct input into the Inquiry, either through making a submission, providing evidence or attending one of the public seminars hosted by the Committee. The Committee was chaired by Michael Lavarch MP, member for Fisher in Queensland.
