IR Training for Expatriate Managers:: Part 1
Abstract
Multinational corporations have become increasingly important in the course of this century. There have been many investigations of their effects on such issues as national and international economic performance, the effects of transfer pricing and comparative labour costs. There are fewer studies of management‐employee relationships in the multinationals. One aspect of management‐employee relationships which is unique to them and which has received little attention in the UK concerns the problems created when foreign managers have to deal with indigenous workers.
