Management Training and Its Effectiveness —: A Passenger Transport Executive Case Study
Abstract
At the beginning of the 1970s, the political decision was taken to integrate the public transport undertakings in a number of provincial conurbations into larger units. For historical reasons, in the conurbations there existed a number of public transport undertakings which were mainly operated as trading activities by locally elected councils and which were independent of each other and noncompeting, i.e. each operated within its own defined geographical area.
