POE — a horror story?

Abstract

It is almost unprecedented for any practical consequences to result from a conference — getting things done is not what academics are famous for. Nevertheless, in Portsmouth and Cambridge recently two conferences came near to changing the professional lives of facilities managers, who were barely represented among those present.
