Abstract
One result of the great expansion of the chemical industry is the host of new packaging problems it has created. Many of these chemicals are being shipped abroad in steel drums. In this article the author makes no pretence of detailed examination of any specific problem but simply reviews some of the aspects of a subject particularly topical this month.
