MASTIC “BARRIER” TO GALVANIC CORROSION: Corrosion Prevention on Ships of Different Metals
Abstract
Electro‐chemical action is becoming an increasingly serious cause of corrosion, particularly with new metals such as aluminium coming into wider use for shipbuilding. In modern sea‐going ships with large parts of their superstructure built of aluminium, electrochemical corrosion can be a major problem.
