NATIONAL ANTI‐CORROSION WEEK: LONDON — OCTOBER 14–17, 1957

Abstract

Speaking at a Press Conference held on August 14, at 55 Park Lane, London, W. G. Norris, Managing Director of the Leonard Hill Technical Group, said, ‘We are here to declare war on corrosion, particularly corrosion in industry. Corrosion is an insidious, costly evil which presents Britain alone with an annual bill of £600 million. (Roughly equal to the annual expenditure on maintaining the British Army in recent years.)’
