Abstract

The approach in this investigation, by way of complex co‐ordination compounds, is, as far as the authors are aware, new. Although the results are at present not revolutionary, further investigation along the lines indicated should be rewarding. It is shown that phenols containing strongly polar groups actually accelerate corrosion and those without inhibit corrosion.
