Abstract

Pipelines again. Comprehensive information on the problems and solutions of corrosion in pipelines appears to be—in the USA at least—rather more comprehensive than we had suspected. Following a comment in our May issue on the existence of one such source of information (an ASCE report), which succeeded in arousing interest in some of our readers, news has been received of another, quite unconnected project which is directed at building up a full picture of corrosion caused or influenced by soil organisms in buried pipelines.
