Abstract

In the editorial to this issue I summarised the available academic evidence on the effect of minimum wages upon employment. I pointed out that it is possible that the conclusion which logically follows from this evidence — that jobs are not lost — may not apply to sectors exposed to strong offshore competition. I felt it would be useful to have the view of the industry (employers) on this subject.
