The current situation of the conception of stakeholders in German industry
Abstract
The following paper presents current trends of stakeholder and shareholder value concepts in German industry and discusses the relationship between these two concepts. In order to work effectively, the management of organisational communication has to analyse the results of stakeholder versus shareholder value focus. Although the shareholder value concept seems to be of more importance than the stakeholder concept at the moment, the latter must not be ignored. This paper presents evidence of the significance to an enterprise of its stakeholders, especially internal ones, in German industry and society.
