Abstract

THE aircraft industry is always trying to improve cockpit lighting, and over the years many different arrangements of tungsten filament lamp have been used. Red lighting has long been standard equipment for aircraft and, during the last twenty years, ultra‐violet lighting with Woods glass tungsten lamps has been very successful.
