Preservatives and fungicides for Paints Dispersions and emulsions

Abstract

The paint industry uses antimicrobial substances for two purposes: to prevent products containing water from decomposing in the can or while the cans are in storage; and to formulate compositions for coatings whose surfaces must be bactericidal or resistant to moulds.
