Resins for water‐borne coatings

Abstract

During the past few years the coatings industry has put forth a tremendous effort to develop high quality coatings from which there is little evaporation of organic solvents. Because of this effort, today, water reducible coatings are an important factor in the coatings market. Added impetus has been given to their acceptance as a result of the economic pressure of increased prices for petroleum derived solvents and environmental protection pressure.
