Abstract

The Hydrocarbon Solvents Association Ltd., 317 High Holborn, London WC1V 7NL, believes that incorrect technique in the handling of these products is by far the most important reason for accidents which sometimes occur. A considerable body of experience has by now been accumulated, the concomitant literature on which is very substantial and occasionally complex. It was decided that the important essenc of all this information should be collected into a small, relatively simple booklet which would then be made available by the members of the Association to the companies with whom they have commercial relations, and whose employees are engaged in some aspects of the handling of solvents.
