Abstract

P. W. Allen & Co., 253 Liverpool Road, London N1 1NA, have announced a new drum viewer: Model DV‐45. This is a British‐made short cranked hand‐held probe that can be inserted through barrel side or end bung holes, to examine every part of the interior. A protected 12‐volt lamp is used for illumination, and adjacent to it is a convex optical‐quality mirror that gives a distortion‐free view of every inside surface. Both lamp and mirror are protected from damage that might be caused by careless insertion or withdrawal.
