Abstract

An interesting technical development is reported by PPG Industries in the USA, in that manufacturers of wood doors and windows now can use a single‐coat treatment system before painting to make millwork joinery water repellent, rot resistant and electrically conductive. It is believed that this new pretreatment process is the only system of its kind that imparts all three properties through the application of one liquid solution.
