Abstract

UV curing is a subject that has evoked considerable discussion over the years and the pros and cons have been well aired. The technique is not for everyone, but many printers have recognised the benefits and made significant investments. As a result, UV is no longer looked upon as new technology but has become accepted as part of the printing industry. The use of UV overprint varnishes is a particular sector of the market that has enjoyed a steady growth of interest.
