Abstract

Vinamul Ltd (formerly Vinyl Products Ltd), Carshalton, Surrey, announces that its Dutch associate, Vinamul BV, Geleen, near Maastricht, The Netherlands has successfully brought on stream one of the most modern polymer emulsion factories in Europe. The new unit has a capacity of 20,000 tonnes/year of ethylene‐based polymer emulsions, which are produced at high pressure. The factory was opened officially by the chairman of Unilever N.V., Mr F Maljers, on September 29th, in the presence of guests representing major industrial users and suppliers throughout Europe, as well as representatives of Dutch local government.
