Abstract

As if paint and ink chemists have not already got enough problems with certain materials now being excluded from formulations due to health or environmental problems, they are now informed by Hinton and Higgs, the consultants in health and safety, that recent research has indicated that some solvents — including MEK — can be metabolised in the body and result in carbon monoxide poisoning.
